The production company a group therapy was founded in 2023 by Laurian-Luis Schymura in Hamburg (Hamburg - Germany). Since 2024, it is transformed on the principles of steward-ownership (Purpose Economy) and is jointly managed in collaboration with Josephine Hasenjäger. Since 2026 a headquarter in Chemnitz (Saxony - Germany) was established with Claudia Tuyết Scheffel and Quỳnh Lê Nguyễn in joint lead of productions.

While our focus lies primarily on international co-productions with Germany’s many neighbouring countries and in general on the creative support of film projects, we see ourselves as a holistic creative studio. Our emphasis is on collaborative working methods and space for new ideas beyond film storytelling.
